Nick Rossettos is an entrepreneurial CFO, innovative business partner and collaborative results-driven leader. He has experience optimizing finance operations to realize maximum growth and efficiencies. A strong communicator, Nick works well with all members of the financial and executive team.

As an experienced CPA and senior Finance executive, Nick has more than 25 years of experience partnering with senior leadership, boards of directors and investor groups. He has industry experience including startup biopharmaceutical, publishing/online publishing, professional services environmental consulting, specialty wine online retail and venture-backed startups.

Nick offers not only CFO expertise, including strategic planning, board engagement and financial planning & analysis, but also Controller skills such as technical accounting, financial reporting and M&A due diligence.

Nick’s areas of technical expertise include strategic planning, process re-engineering, financial reporting and analysis, audit preparation, compliance and due diligence, startups, banking relationships and board preparation and attendance.

Nick’s experience includes executive positions at Atlantic Technology Ventures, a NASDAQ-traded biotechnology company; Manhattan Pharmaceuticals, a publicly-traded biopharmaceutical company; Egenix, Inc, a private development stage cancer therapeutics company; and Fass Selections, an internet-based specialty wine importer. Most recently he was Interim CFO of Canadian Cell Therapeutics company Sernova Corp, publicly traded on the TSX.

As CFO and Director of Fass Selections, Nick recently cofounded and set up an entire back-office accounting system for an internet-based specialty wine importer, automating invoicing and credit card processing through integration of third-party software with the accounting system. Nick built the financial infrastructure to support rapid year-over-year growth in EBITDA. During the process, he advocated for changes in how shared data is handled, allowing multiple users to contribute.

As CFO of a publicly-traded biopharmaceutical company, Manhattan Pharmaceuticals, Nick raised $26.9 million in three private placements (PIPE’s) working with placement agents after taking the company public through a reverse merger. During his tenures with different life sciences companies, Nick gained an understanding of and comfort with the drug development process, from API to pre-FDA checkbox studies to clinical development, Phase I through Phase III.

As CFO of privately-held cancer therapeutics company, Egenix, Nick raised capital through private investments, calculated multiple simultaneous anti-dilution provisions for pro-forma capitalization tables and recommended the best of multiple alternative financing scenarios. Also, during his tenure there, he implemented procedures to transition to a remote company.

Nick is known for his integrity and his ability to inspire trust with business leaders.

Nick received his MS and MBA in Accounting from Northeastern University and an AB in Economics from Princeton University. In his spare time, he serves as an elected member of the Planning Board of the Town of Winchester, MA, and enjoys biking as a form of transportation, hiking and the outdoors.
