Matt Kenkel is a finance “game changer” with 25 years of leadership experience and a consistent track record of driving strong revenue and EBITDA growth, across a variety of industries, including: Energy, Medical Services and Devices, Retail Auto, Consumer Products/Wines & Spirits, Distribution, Facilities Management and Real Estate.

Matt has led two private equity-backed companies through significant growth, OPEX savings and successful exits. Matt has experienced success building relationships across organizations and with stakeholders while implementing solutions that deliver a high return on investment. Matt is a leader and collaborates well with employees, management, investors, lenders and BOD’s. His skills include restructuring/cost containment, maximizing profits, month-end closings, cash flow, investor/owner relations, risk management, M&A/acquisition integration, fund raising and successful exits.

Matt has served as the CFO of various service and retail companies; some mid-size, mature companies while many were smaller and more entrepreneurial. Highlights include:

  • Helped grow Midwest auto dealer holding company by $100M in revenues; responsible for all acquisitions while overseeing accounting and finance departments at 8 different dealerships.
  • Restructured failing real estate company while increasing revenues by $40M over 14 year period before successful exit.
  • At multi-family real estate company, Matt reorganized (financially and operationally) 12 different multi-family properties increasing profitability substantially.
  • Served as the CFO of a New England car dealer group; responsible for finance/accounting at several dealerships; managed floor lines, debt, cash flow, budgeting, HR, risk management and taxes.
  • Served as the CFO of private equity-owned medical services company; successfully collaborating with management team, BOD’s and PE Group.
  • Raised Seed and Early Stage funding for a (i) retail auto group ($5M) and (ii) mobile app SAAS company.

Mr. Kenkel started his career with PwC. He has an MBA from the University of Michigan and a BS from UNC Chapel Hill.
