Shalini Urankar

CFO Consultant

Shalini Urankar is a seasoned Finance and Operations executive with over 15 years of leadership experience spanning Biotech, SaaS, CPG, Real Estate, and Enterprise Services. She excels at guiding founder-led and growth-stage companies through transformational inflection points – from scaling operations and securing capital to preparing for exit readiness.

Most recently, she was CFO at the Biotech startup, Evolved By Nature, where she spearheaded growth strategies enabling them to expand to EU/APAC, secured Equity/Debt financing, and drove operational efficiencies through process improvements and technology adoption.

Prior to this role, as VP & CFO for Americas at Iron Mountain, she led the P&L for a $2.5B revenue business, drove $200M in incremental revenue through pricing and contract negotiation on the legacy Records Management business and led automation efforts across finance operations. In addition, she stepped in and stabilized the Consumer Valet business and built operational and commercial capability on the Digital Solutions business (smaller businesses within IRM portfolio ranging from $50M to $200M). She delivered unprecedented double-digit growth for 2 years in a row during her time with the company.

Prior to Iron Mountain, Shalini was COO at Demeter Technologies, where she worked on commercializing their flagship product, a precision agriculture application, which leveraged AI/ML and drone technology to provide insights on farm health and crop breeding.

Before joining the executive team at Demeter, Shalini worked at P&G in Finance & Strategy for over 10 years on brands such as Pampers, Always, Cascade & Febreze. She led P&L management, pricing & profit analysis, new product launch and cost innovation on brands ranging from $500M to $5B.

Shalini brings a hybrid of strategic foresight, operational rigor, and finance tech fluency to her work. She is especially passionate about enabling finance teams through intelligent automation, integrated systems, and data-driven insights – all aimed at freeing business owners to focus on growth and long-term value creation. A collaborative coach and trusted advisor, she partners closely with founders to bring clarity, confidence, and enterprise-scale readiness to their companies.
Shalini currently serves as an Advisory Board Member for the CFO Leadership Council (CFOLC) and has previously served on the board of OptimEyes.ai.

Shalini holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and an M.S. in Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University. She lives in Boston with her husband & two kids and enjoys traveling, hiking and singing in her free time.
