Peter is a seasoned finance professional with over 30 years of experience in corporate finance. His industry expertise includes high-tech, tech-enabled services, private equity, manufacturing and financial services. Peter has successfully worked with both private equity and venture-backed companies, as well as owner-managed businesses bootstrapping their growth. He has been a trusted advisor to investors, CEOs, and operating teams building and maintaining structure and controls within finance organizations. Peter has extensive experience in financial reporting, FP&A, along with a deep understanding of accounting. Throughout his career, Peter has continuously helped stakeholders understand their operations through the data.

In his most recent role, Peter was the CFO of Safety NetAccess, a WiFi networking services company. During his term, he was part of the leadership team that grew the company from $4.0 million in revenue to $60.0 million, which included closing on an acquisition of a similar network services company. He led initiatives to create structure around internal and external reporting, ERP system integrations, incentive compensation, and employee benefits. Also, during his tenure, Peter oversaw the opening of operations in Canada and the UK.

Peter began his career at PWC as an auditor and then moved into the firm’s litigation services group where he was part of several teams investigating white-collar crimes. He later held several finance positions at The Stride-Rite Corporation, United Asset Management (a diversified financial services firm) and Polaris Venture Partners. At Polaris, Peter developed a passion for working with start-up and growth companies.

He later became CFO of several private equity and hedge funds. This included East Hill Management and it’s spin off New Hill Management, as well as Brook Venture Partners. In those roles, Peter provided financial leadership to both the investment funds’ stakeholders and the portfolio companies. He developed financial reporting structures and board reports and worked closely with portfolio companies’ CEOs to manage the strategic planning set forth by the firms. There he was an integral part of the leadership teams that raised capital for several new ventures as well as managed the distribution of assets to the firms’ investors.

Throughout his career, Peter has also held several adjunct and part-time teaching positions at Boston College, Salem State University and Suffolk University. He has taught graduate and undergraduate business courses in accounting and entrepreneurship.

He is an avid cyclist and six-time rider in the 2-day 190 mile Pan-Mass Challenge.

Peter holds an MBA from Boston College and a BS in Accounting form St. John’s University.
