Tom Rispoli Headshot

Tom is the quintessential ‘operating CFO’.  He is a true partner in every aspect of the business.  The board and shareholders appreciated his deft and fearless restructuring, reducing expenses by hundreds of millions of dollars.  Field sales leaders felt heard and supported through an extremely challenging transition from rapid acquisition integration to an intense organic growth focus.  Making a century-old, multi-billion-dollar industry leader dance is tough.  Tom assembled the teams, designed the fiscal tools and KPI dashboards, marshaled the financial and operational support resources, and player-coached us to new highs in both market share growth and profitability.  And he did so with unflappable grace and remarkable humility.  I would leap at the chance to take on the world again with Tom, and any client who does so will quickly know why!

Thomas N. Rispoli, Jr.

CFO & Operating Advisor

Tom Rispoli is a seasoned CFO, COO executive known for his practical, sleeves-rolled-up style – blending strategic insight with execution to help leadership teams create clarity, improve decision-making, and build durable growth engines. With more than 30 years of experience, Tom partners with founders and management teams to drive profitable growth, operational scale, and long-term enterprise value. At Venture Growth Partners, he works hands-on with leadership teams to bring financial rigor, operational discipline, and focus to moments of growth and change.

Tom has built and scaled national platforms across real estate services, title and mortgage, education, business services, and tech-enabled services—supporting companies from early growth through large-scale enterprise operations. His experience includes transforming Coldwell Banker from a fragmented holding-company structure into a $4 billion revenue integrated national brokerage platform serving more than 50,000 agents – clarifying unit economics, sharpening pricing and cost discipline, simplifying operating models, and making data-driven decisions about where to invest, grow, or exit markets, resulting in profitable market-share gains and sustainable improvements in margin and operating leverage. He also scaled Title Resources Group from an early-stage title and mortgage business into a $300 million revenue, 100-office national platform through disciplined acquisition and organic growth, and strategically led the transformation of The Chubb Institute from an early-stage education provider into a $400 million revenue national technology and professional-education platform—expanding locations, diversifying offerings, securing the capital required to support growth, and ultimately executing a successful sale to private equity.

Tom helps leadership teams improve profitability and margins by bringing discipline to pricing, analytics, and unit economics, while enabling growth through both organic expansion and targeted acquisitions. He focuses on building scalable operating models—using market insight, footprint optimization, and process clarity—supported by the capital structure, banking relationships, financial rhythms, and systems required to scale with confidence.

He has also worked closely with private-equity sponsors, giving him a clear understanding of investor expectations and transaction dynamics – experience he uses to help management teams prepare for growth, capital events, or exits without losing focus on running the business.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, magna cum laude, from Seton Hall University.
