Charles Bruschi Headshot

Controlling the finances of a multi-billion-dollar matrixed organization can be a challenge. We all know it is more than complex. Charles made it look easy. His financial acumen and tireless approach, along with his willingness to dig in and truly understand the business, separate him from his peers. Not only did he keep tight controls at the parent level, but he was also hands-on at the divisional level. I ran one of the smaller divisions ($250 mil), and Charles was still impressively involved in the finances of my group. He provided excellent counsel and was a key contributor in helping me take what was once a loss-making group to a sustainably profitable one. A true partner and a senior finance executive who is a great addition for any organization.

Charles Bruschi

CFO Consultant

Charles Bruschi is a senior finance and operating executive with a consistent track record of accomplishments in the B2B sector, covering the printing, information services, and software industries. He is skilled in financial planning, mergers & acquisitions, system implementations, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Over his 40-year career, Charles has proven himself to be a leader who has consistently delivered value to companies across the corporate spectrum—with demonstrated results in building and leading the finance function and working as a valued business partner to the CEO and senior management team. He offers a combination of CFO attributes (strategy, management of board, financial planning & analysis, decision support, and shareholder value enhancement) and Controller skills (technical accounting, financial reporting, M&A due diligence and shared services).

His most recent previous role was as CFO for Canon Solutions America, a market leader in commercial printing services and solutions, where he led the post-merger integration of an acquired company essentially doubling CSA in size. Accomplishments in this role include the elimination of duplicate facilities and redundant costs, the integration of finance teams and implementation of consistent systems, processes and reporting. This culminated in the creation of a shared service operation for general accounting, accounts payable and receivables. Charles also partnered with business leaders to build-out CSA’s emerging solutions and managed services businesses, providing strategic guidance as well as hands on decision support and analysis to these nascent operations.

Throughout his career, Charles has led impactful projects , including overhauling Canon USA’s accounting function and financial systems, and preparing financial statements for Moody’s IPO. He also served in operating capacities as CFO for two of IQVIA’s information services and software divisions, and as the Moody’s Corporation Controller and Chief Accounting Officer.

Charles started his career with 10 years at PWC in New York, working with clients in the manufacturing, publishing and information services industries. He received a BS in Accounting from Fordham University and is a CPA.

Having worked for many years with Charles at Canon Solutions America Inc., I can heartily recommend him for his financial skills, business acumen, creativity, flexibility, and problem-solving abilities. We worked side by side on establishing a new business unit, where Charles was instrumental in setting up the required financial reporting systems and processes. He helped establish meaningful financial KPIs that directly represented our sales and marketing efforts and were additive to the company’s financial targets. He is a true team player with a broad perspective who can apply his financial knowledge to various business situations and conditions while performing as the company CFO.
