Christie Ibe is a seasoned entrepreneurial finance executive with over 25 years of experience working for US and multinational corporations. Her career spans the breadth of business, finance, and accounting operations. Christie’s extensive knowledge and expertise covers the wide spectrum of business operations, from product development to sales/product delivery. She partners and collaborates with all stakeholders in building holistic tools, processes and practices that enhance operational capabilities for growth, predictability, sustainability, and compliance. Christie’s capacity to methodically work through abstract concepts, articulate and drive strategies from vision to reality makes her a trusted finance business partner.
Christie has served as a business partner, advisor and finance executive at technology and software/SaaS companies that consist of midsized and large public corporations as well as small/startup and midsized private companies. Notable companies she has worked for include Sun Microsystems, Inc (Oracle) as the Divisional CFO and Financial Controller of $1.1B Telecommunications Industry, Allot Communications, Inc as Americas CFO, and Bay Networks (Nortel) where she was a Senior Financial Analyst.
Major areas of accomplishments as a strategic finance executive and business partner include:
- Headed the start-up of a $1.1B revenue Telecommunications Industry Division at Sun Microsystems and Allot Communications, Inc. (subsidiary of Allot Communications Ltd). Responsibilities included establishing financial and business infrastructure for managing these businesses.
- Managed the implementation of Sun Microsystems’ multimillion dollar pre-sales investment qualification processes, including providing ROI analysis, business and technical review process to validate the business case, and value proposition of customer projects.
- Led and managed the implementation and integration of ERP, CRM and CMP change programs at privately held PE and VC backed companies
- Define the functional finance and business processes for Quote-to-Order, Order-to-Cash, Planning, Modelling and Forecasting, in systems such as Sales Force, NetSuite and Workday Adaptive Planning
- Led global FP&A teams in both public and private companies implementing scenario planning and modelling concepts that tie in all facets of business and financial operations forecasting and management from Revenue and Opex to Cashflow
- Led integration of M&A of various functional business units for Sun Microsystems $4.1B acquisition of StorageTek and Allot Communications, Ltd acquisition of Ortiva Wireless
Recently, Christie has been providing consulting CFO Services to Start-ups and Private companies, as a strategic business partner working with the executives, PE and VC teams. Her focus is driving the implementation and adoption of tools and processes that promote agility, predictability, growth/profitability and compliance with rules by US and international bodies such as the FASB & IFRS, data privacy/security and other regulatory issues.
Christie has an MBA in Finance, from Pace University Lubin School of Business, New York and a BSBA in Accounting from Suffolk University in Boston.
