David has over 35 years of experience in accounting, finance, business strategy and operations management. In addition to his CFO experience, he has been responsible for manufacturing, supply chain management, IT and human resources. He also has significant experience in both buy and sell side M&A, as well as equity and debt financing. While the majority of his career has been with manufacturing businesses, David also has substantial experience with SaaS and services businesses.
David’s experience includes:
- Fractional CFO for Clean Air Power (UK and USA), a manufacturer of innovative carbon-free fuel injectors
- Fractional CFO for 7GEN, a provider of integrated commercial EV fleet solutions in North America
- Consultant for a family office, building a complex long-term cash flow model
- CFO for SimpliPhi Power, a lithium-ion battery manufacturer. Led successful exit, selling company to KPS Capital Partners to be merged with another portfolio company, Briggs & Stratton. Post acquisition, he led the integration of key functions into the parent company, including the systems migration from QuickBooks to SAP
- CFO for Greenlots, a software and services provider of EV charging and grid management infrastructure. Greenlots was acquired by Shell and is now part of Shell Recharge Solutions
- CFO and Treasurer of Clean Diesel Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: CDTI), a manufacturer of clean energy catalysts, for automotive, heavy-duty trucking and other applications. Other roles at CDTI include VP of Operations, VP of Corporate
- Development, VP of Finance, Corporate Controller and Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

David has an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California and a BA in Economics/Mathematics from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
