Ed spearheaded cost-saving initiatives, established robust job costing methodologies and budgeting strategies, and adeptly navigated negotiations for bank loan financing.
During his tenure as CFO of a multinational professional service consulting firm, Ed held financial leadership positions at the global and the domestic levels, where he innovated by devising and applying distinctive computerized accounting and reporting systems aimed at bolstering financial oversight. While CFO of an international communications agency, Ed spearheaded nine US and international acquisitions deals ranging in size from $3-17 million dollars.
Over the last eight years while working as a CFO consultant, Ed helped clients: upgrade their financial reporting and cash management; improve profitability, systems and processes; establish goals and strategies; and restructure for a potential sale. In a recent due diligence assessment, Ed’s skill set became a pivotal factor that led to the successful sale of a construction company to a top tier private equity firm, achieving a multiple of over 6 times EBITDA.
Ed Scordato has authored numerous articles on LinkedIn focused on strategic business planning, closing the books, strategies to improve gross profit margins, cash flow, value of a WIP report, and thinking outside the box. Ed Scordato also served as an Adjunct Professor at several business colleges where he taught accounting and financial software (eg: QuickBooks). Ed Scordato holds a BBA from Bernard Baruch College, is a Certified Public Accountant, and a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor with big Four experience, and expertise in financial management and an advanced skill set in accounting software platforms.
