Gunnar Link has served as CFO and strategic advisor at a variety of companies, successfully overseeing fund-raising efforts, merger integrations, and turnarounds. Gunnar’s industry experience includes Software as a Service (SaaS), Technology, Health Care, Professional Services, Education, and Tourism. Gunnar advises companies and sits on boards in the Boston area as well as in London, UK.
Most recently, Gunnar was asked to join the board of a mid-stage Boston based services company and to act as the strategic advisor for an early-stage software company. He especially enjoys working with founders and CEOs of early to mid-stage organizations (0-$100M in revenue).
Previously, Gunnar was Chief Financial Officer and Board Member of CAPA International, a travel-abroad company based in Boston and with operations in nine countries. As part of CAPA’s executive team, Gunnar led a turnaround effort that drove the organization from net losses to record profits in 18 months by resizing support and indirect functions (finding cost savings), rededicating staff to revenue generating activities, and renegotiating all major contracts.
Prior to CAPA, Gunnar was Vice President of Finance at EF Education First, a 40,000+ employee international organization specializing in tourism, language learning, and other education related activities. At Education First, Gunnar managed and scaled the company’s North American finance department to accommodate 35-45% growth per year and successfully integrated an acquisition into a division of EF.

Gunnar holds a BS in Economics and Accounting from Santa Clara University and MA in Applied Economics from Northeastern University. He received his CPA designation in California in 2009. He has lived on both coasts of the US and was based in London for two years.
