Michael Tansley is a dynamic CFO with 30+ years of experience in financial services. He has a track record of driving growth and adding value to businesses through effective change management and utilization of people, process and technology.

Most recently, Michael has been CFO/COO for a commercial real estate private credit organization that originates and finances bridge and construction loans ($1b assets serviced). Prior to that he was CFO/COO of a hedge fund of funds ($1.4B assets). He established fund structures, managed vendor relationships, led cash management/ liquidity, negotiated funding lines, managed financial reporting, tax and investor relations, and oversaw governance and regulatory requirements. He has also led a team to raise capital, performed due diligence on investment managers, and assessed potential merger and acquisition opportunities.

At JP Morgan, Michael led a large team as controller and treasurer of the JPAM mutual funds. He implemented change management to improve critical processes including on time NAV accuracy and delivery by 9x, the risk management program and the financial statement process.

At GE Michael was controller of GEAM, a black belt finance leader and global finance system/process leader for GE Money (retail finance arm of GE). In various senior leadership roles, he led numerous initiatives including launching new funds (US and offshore), integration of insurance portfolios of GE, close cycle reduction, and external manager oversight.

Michael is a chartered accountant (UK) and spent 12 years in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers (US and UK).

On a personal side he is an avid skier and outdoor sports enthusiast, who also volunteers as a ski patroller and EMT.
