Paul Ryan is a senior executive and Chief Financial and Operating Officer with 30 years of leadership experience spanning diverse industry sectors, including: healthcare, professional services, nonprofit, financial services, and technology. Paul’s career includes international financial and management consulting engagements for off-shore global conglomerates in telecom and computer technology, as well as early-stage and venture-backed firms in various tech sectors including battery technology, medical devices, etc. He has consistently improved valuation, managed costs, maximized cash flow, and facilitated M&A due diligence with seamless integration of people, processes, and technology.
Recently serving as the CFO for Interaction Associates and Interaction Institute, a global professional services firm and 501c3 affiliate organization, Paul has driven organizational transformation focused on sustainable growth and P&L health. By contributing to strategic direction, installing new framework, and infrastructure while enabling data-driven decision making, Paul has rapidly delivered positive change in organizational and financial performance.
Paul’s previous executive experience includes:
- CFO and COO of Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts – Led efforts to obtain critical government and private grants to augment revenues and operating capital.
- CFO for VA New England Healthcare – Streamlined financial reporting processes and financial operations to improve reporting capability and productivity.
- CFO/COO for Accounting Management Solutions, Inc., a $12M, 60 employee professional services firm – Designed and implemented a scalable operating infrastructure that positioned the company for rapid growth. Revenue tripled over three years.
- VP of Finance & Planning with Fidelity Investments, where he was responsible for a $500M global business and strategic services unit.
Paul earned a B.S., Finance from Boston College and MBA with a concentration in International Business from Bentley University Graduate School.
He serves on the Board Audit & Finance Committee for Interaction Institute for Social Change; and is actively engaged as leader, Past President and Board member for Financial Executives International (FEI); and a long serving member of the Organizing Committee for the MIT Sloan CFO Summit. Paul is also active with several charitable organizations.
Paul is a native of Boston and enjoys quality time with family, including his wife, 2 grown children, 5 grandchildren, and is an active cyclist, golfer, skier, and wine collector.
