Wayne Fitzpatrick brings three decades of financial operations, technology, life sciences and capital formation experience to his engagements. Wayne’s industry experience includes software-as-a-service, high-end professional services, private investment management and brokerage.

As a fractional CFO, Wayne has served SaaS businesses in supply chain and fintech, providing hand-on expertise in streamlining financial operations, producing astute financial reporting and models for internal and external constituents, and providing input on strategic considerations. He also has assisted non-profit organizations on a pro bono basis.

Most recently, Wayne was the founding CFO at Bulger Partners, a diversified services firm which provided advisory services through its FINRA-member broker-dealer, made mid-stage investments in fintech and HCIT and provided technology benchmarking and technology evaluation to assist leading private equity firms in their investment and integration strategies.

At Bulger, he developed and implemented every significant operational policy at the firm, oversaw the operational elements of Bulger’s expansion into Europe, performed investor relations for Bulger’s growth equity funds and, although lacking a law degree, largely acted as de facto in-house counsel. He also lent process and accounting expertise to his advisory colleagues on financing and merger transactions. Owing to its expertise and reputation, Bulger Partners merged into EY-Parthenon as its software strategy services offering.

Prior to Bulger, Wayne spent several years as an investment banker at Bank of America and boutique firms, assisting biotechnology and technology companies acquire, merge and raise capital in public and private markets.

He acquired technology understanding and acumen during his early professional position as a systems engineer at IBM and as a systems analyst at JP Morgan.

Wayne received his bachelor’s degree from Trinity College an holds an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
