Duncan Perry has over 25 years of experience in global high-tech and software companies ranging from early-stage venture-backed to multinational public companies.
After starting his career at IBM, he has focused on software and SaaS companies in industries that have ranged from marketing technology and social media to supply chain, fintech and security/Infosec. As a tech-savvy C-Level executive, he regularly oversees multiple teams, including finance, accounting, legal and contracts, human resources, IT, Information Security, international operations, facilities, and technical support.
Duncan’s experience includes:
- Managing over 15 M&A events, including the acquisition of international businesses in Australia, France, Israel and the UK.
- Overseeing financings including series A-C venture rounds, Private Equity rounds, commercial debt, IPOs and PIPE (private investments in public equity).
- Implementation of new systems for rapidly changing companies including Salesforce, Netsuite, Sage Accounting, and various HRIS, including design and implementation of the processes and policies necessary to make new systems successful.
- Recruiting and building teams for accounting, finance, HR, IT and SaaS Operations, often from the ground up, for companies growing from $0 to $100M in revenue.
Born and raised in Washington, DC, Duncan attended Cornell University and received both a BS Degree in Electrical Engineering and a BA Degree in History before returning to Cornell to complete his MBA at the Johnson School. He now lives in Wellesley, Massachusetts and enjoys sailing, golf and international travel.
Duncan is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and has his Series 65 FINRA License.
