Jim Silvestri is a hands-on, private equity-experienced financial and accounting executive with specific expertise in providing strategic vision and execution to high-growth manufacturing, distribution and services companies, with revenues ranging from $10 to $175 million. His Lean Manufacturing background makes him adept at significant process improvement and ERP implementation and integration.
Jim has close to 30 years of experience with both public and private companies, with the past 20 years spent in the manufacturing and distribution space working for family-owned businesses across multiple industries, with close to 10 years working for suppliers to the commercial and residential construction industry. Early on, in his role as cost accounting manager, he developed the ability to see the whole business and define and measure the key business drivers, setting him up for success in each of his subsequent roles.
In his most recent full-time CFO role at a private equity-backed restoration company, the company’s revenues grew from $38 million to $52 million during his 18-month tenure. Jim worked closely with the private equity sponsor to perform due diligence and integrate four acquisitions, implement significant FP&A improvements, and complete an accounting software upgrade, thereby creating a scalable platform to continue to rapidly grow the top and bottom line.
Over the course of his career, Jim has led due diligence and integration of accounting and finance for multiple acquisitions and company sales, ranging in size from $4 million to $125 million.
